Options Unlimited was recently featured in the Courier Journal. The piece, written by Olivia Evans, highlighted our organization’s TLC (Transitioning to Life Communities) program which we have in partnership with UPS.
The TLC Program provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities an opportunity to gain life and work skills while interacting with other peers through social events and activities, such as game nights, community outings, support groups, craft classes and more. As part of the program, UPS offers students job shadowing opportunities that allow them to get a feel for what it’s like working in different departments within the company. Through this program, individuals are able to gain experience in the workplace while developing relationships and mastering independent living skills.
Options Unlimited also partners with many local businesses throughout the city who generously offer their time and resources in order to help those with special needs reach their goals. This commitment from local businesses has enabled Options Unlimited to continue providing quality services for those in need.
